About the Artist

“ My design career started many years ago in the field of Visual presentation for department stores after attending Capilano College for Commercial Art in Vancouver, BC. I branched out on my own several years later and founded my own company, Allison Brodie Designs, and created window displays for thirty to forty businesses in Victoria and Sidney. Fast forward!I have retired from my display business of thirty years and although I had painted throughout my career, now I have time to embrace my love of painting full time! My work at the moment is experimental as I love to try new techniques and products. Recently I have been concentrating on my series of beach/sky pieces and my abstracts of found metals, plasters and other found objects. “
